Voices of Birralee is thrilled to announce the return of the Pemulwuy! National Male Voice Festival from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July 2026 in Brisbane.
This triennial Festival is a three-day program of music-making, that aims to encourage males throughout Australia to engage in singing, regardless of their level of experience and to build networks between conductors and artists who work in this unique field. The singers work together in nominated strands – treble, youth and adult - to rehearse, sing together and to spend time as a community sharing music-making experiences.
This highly-anticipated Festival features choirs and ensembles from all over Australia including Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales as well as the south east corner of Queensland and is hosted by Brisbane’s own Birralee Blokes and Birralee Boys.
Registrations have opened for both ensembles and individuals wishing to participate in this truly unique opportunity for boys and men to engage artistically and socially. This must be supported by a willingness to prepare/learn 4 pieces of music which will be sent to you in May 2026. Audio files will be provided for those who request it. Every applicant under 18 years of age must provide the name of a referee.
